Degree in Geodesy and Geoinformatics, PhD in Photogrammetry from the University of Stuttgart, founded nFrames in 2014 which was acquired by Esri in 2020. Since then Director of the Esri R&D Center in Stuttgart with focus on Photogrammetry and Reality Capture software technology.
Esri is driving cutting edge software solutions for Reality Capture. Their passion is the transfer of research from Photogrammetry, Computer Vision, Machine Learning and Geometry Processing into processing engines for large scale mapping engines. This includes the 3D reconstruction from images for digital twins of cities, up to entire countries from aerial images.
